Texas ranks #1 in Site Selection's 2011 Top State Business Climate Rankings. The Lone Star State also tops the list in their 2011 Executive Survey Business Climate Rankings by corporate real estate executives. To determine the Top Business Climate, Site Selection Magazine ranked states based on data, such as competiveness and tax climate, and a survey which asked the corporate executives with site selection responsibilities to name the states they considered most business friendly. Texas received the highest marks in both components of the study, with executives citing Texas' tax climate, pro-business climate, available workforce and economic development incentives as reason to relocate or expand a business in the Lone Star State.
