It's easy to get around in Texas. Texas is crisscrossed by nine interstate highways, the most in the country, and more miles of public roads and railroads than any other state. These major thoroughfares include I-10, I-20, I-27, I-30, I-35, I-37, I-40, I-44, and
I-45 and provide direct routes through some of the nation's biggest cites.

A friendly business climate has meant a great deal to BNSF and our growth here. Fort Worth and Texas are a key part of our network. We operate on nearly 5,000 route miles of track and originate or handle nearly 6 million carloads of freight in the state. Between our headquarters in Fort Worth and our operations in the rest of the state, we employ nearly 7,500 Texans with a payroll of more than $785 million.
